Christmas memories

I’ve had good Christmas’ -really -I just don’t remember them as much as the bad Christmas’
I’ll tell you about one of my bad Christmas' I remember. We were invited to the old man’s brothers house for Christmas Eve. I was sick, really sick. I had earlier in the day realized that I had short changed one of the kids, I had always tried to spend an equal amount of money on each. Even if it meant buying a small gift to make up the difference. Well this particular year I missed the boat and had realized it to late to make up the difference. Well I sent the old man off to his brothers house, but I went to bed -sick, I had a headache and a stomach ach. I cried, and prayed I would be forgiven.
Every Christmas since that one I have remembered & tried to do better.
I’m working on this year and I’ll be hoping for perfection. I never want to see disappointment on anyone’s face at Christmas and for sure not on my families.

Don't be so hard on yourself. Christmas is about spending time with your family and enjoying the time you have on this earth, not presents. As an empty nester, I am looking forward to spending time with my children and grandkids. That is the only present I want.

I knew it, I knew it. I was totally robbed that year. No really I have no idea what you are talking about. One thing I realize now as a parent is that way too much emphasis is put on presents. That is all my kids talk about. I hate it when people get presents and start complaining about them the second they are opened. If that is how it is going to be then I say NO MORE PRESENTS!!!
