Gus & the Bus-Keteers
Here’s a picture of my "bus band" or as we say at the senior center "Gus and the Bus-keteers". What a hoot as Hayley would say. They have a talent night once a month as the senior center and this evening there was no one scheduled. So,,,I put together a band with my regular bus riders.
We had Ida on the spoons, Loretta on the wash board, Helen on the cow bell, Esther on the school bell, Leona on the coffee can, Lillian on the piano, Clara on the soup pot, Lorraine on the fry pan, the other bus driver Norman on the plastic clarinet, Gus on the harmonica and me on the accordion.
We played Pop goes the Weasel, This Old Man, and The Hokey Pokey... hey we were a real singin’ and dancin’ band! This picture doesn’t show us "with our right foot in -ect" but the onlookers were right full impressed. We had a blast but have no plans to go on a bus tour or cut a cd. As they would say in the local Wishek newspaper "good time was had by all"!

I don't believe it! You should have had a tape of that! Didn't know you had been practicing. Glad to see you have'nt forgotten how.
How long before the Lawrence Welk show will be calling? Wish I was a mouse in the corner.
Mom
Thanks so much for posting this! My grandma (Loretta) was having so much fun with the practices ;-)
