TWINS!

Hey, Good news. We had twins last week-end. Aren’t they adorable. Mom and babies doing fine. Now we have to come up with names! There are lots of twins in our family. My Grandma’s younger sister had a twin brother. I have a twin brother. My mom’s cousin had twins (a boy and a girl). My son has twin sons. My step-daughter has twin sons. My step-son had twins. My cousin has twin sons. AND now my husband has twins! They are red Gelvig, and don’t ask me the sex of the new babies. I don’t like looking—good grief, give the babies the privacy. But we need names. Killer & Dyller AND Seek & Distroy are taken. Pat & Mike some good old Irish names would work for my Aunt Jean, but I don’t think Gelvig is Irish. Help!

Little Road Trip

Today I went on a road trip. I went to look at snow, deer, and get a cheeseburger.
1st the snow. We had about 22 inches of snow in the last 4 days and wind from the north. Today the wind changed and came from the south and made wonderful snow sculptures in the already made snowdrifts. In a few places it looks like a bald eagle’s profile. In other places it looks like cliffs. Mother nature is really giving us some beauty after some ugly days.
Next, I went to try get a picture of the deer gathered south of Lehr. There was a herd of maybe 300 or more. I saw them last week one day real close to the road. They looked like cattle out grazing in the summer. They peppered all the little hill tops. But, today they were gathered down in a low spot so I couldn’t get a very good picture, but I hope you can see them –where were they last fall? {they’re here now Mitch}.
And last...the cheeseburger. I have tested cheeseburgers all across North & South Dakota. I’ve eaten cheap ones and expensive ones. Lehr has the best anywhere! 1st They have a toasted bun. 2nd They have a juicy burger. 3rd They have melty cheese. 4th They are served with pickles & mustard. It doesn’t seems to matter who cooks, they have had 3 different owners in the last 20 years. They are the best!
This sounds like a sales pitch for North Dakota –beautiful sights, wonderful wildlife, and Great food. Well that was my little road trip.
