Oh My Longhorns

This year we are having a terrible drought.
The hay is awful short.
The pasture never did green up much so....my man said "somethings gotta go."

He had said he was selling some of his beef cows and now he said some of my Longhorns have to go. Oh man, I don’t want to sell any Longhorns. -My beautiful babies! So my man and I took a spin threw the Longhorn herd last weekend. A couple of the cows didn’t have calves this year. That’s never bothered him before, but maybe this is the year. And there’s the calf with the rupture, maybe I could sell him. But gee, they are like pets and I hate to sell any. I hope he gives me a few weeks to think this thing over. I’m adding a few pictures to show all of you how beautiful they really are.

They do make us money...
they don’t eat that much...
oh... this is going to be hard.

Welcome Quinn

Sunday June 9th Mitch and Jen’s 2nd child Quinn was baptized into the Olivet Lutheran Church in Fargo. It was a wonderful outdoor church service. Little Quinn was wearing a white satin christening gown with beautiful lace adorning the collar. She also had a white head band with both ribbons and lace. She looked like a little angel. Gathered at the big event was Uncle Chad & his kids, Uncle Curtis, Aunt Darcy, Miranda & Alexis, myself and Grandpa Benson, Uncle Alex, Aunt Jamie & cousin Jackson, Uncle Josh, Godmother Sara, Grandpa & Grandma Differding, along with Granny (maybe this should be Great Granny now). They had a cute idea of having a 2nd grader from their congregation as a angel sponsor. This little girl will help Quinn in many ways as she gets older and needs a little helping hand in church activities. God Bless you Quinn Christine Benson.
