I want Paul Harvey back

I have missed Paul Harvey news and views since Paul died. Paul was a great source for news that was a bit quirky. The odd ball thief who leaves his ID behind or some such thing. I also got to appreciate Gil Gross and his quick wit. They along with Paul Harvey Jr. kept me in touch with a little politics, a little foreign affairs and even threw in a bit of religion. I totally loved the way Paul talked about his beloved wife Angel.
Now I think I am going to call ABC News. They now have the Mike Huckebee report. He has no sense of humor. His news is...not news I care to hear about. I think he must be on the opposite side of politics. AND he doesn’t use the pregnant pause. That a lot of times is what got me thinking about what Paul was trying to get threw to me. Mike has got to go, and go fast before I quit listening to the news at noon all together. Sorry Mike, I suggest you go back to politics. Isn’t there some state somewhere that could use a Republican with a little clout? But, not my state please.

stormy outside, party inside

Sunday I went to nearly to Fargo to party with my granddaughter and her party friends. The party had everything, a few boys, girls in bikinis, chocolate cake, cool presents and lots of fun. The birthday girl is the one sitting in the middle with a Dora the explorer cup cake. Thanks dad Mitch & mom Jen for inviting me! Congrats Quinn on your birthday and I hope you have many more.

I'm in Arizona

Here I am in Arizona. I'm on a trip to visit my mom and step-dad. No snow! Isn't that great. It's was -11 the morning I left North Dakota and here it is 67 degrees at 9 pm. Wow, what a difference. So far I went to a craft show and a party with the folks friends. Paul was going to tell us a story about when he got blood drawn when he joined the service, he happened to mention he was naked. Mom jumped in and said something and the giggling started. The whole bunch of North Dakotans all gathered together over roast beef sandwiches giggling over the idea of Paul naked as a jay bird, with his orders in his hands. Yup, you were right mom. Spare us the picture coming into our minds! Greetings from Arizona.

Christmas in -March?

Here is a picture of my friend Loretta with 3 Christmas trees. Aren’t they just the cutest things ever? A lady friend of my got a Christmas tree like this for Christmas from her retired teacher friend. I just fell in love with it. I showed the tree along with the directions to Loretta and she went to town. The hardest part was finding the yarn. The edges of the branches have a sparkly thread along with the yarn. I didn’t find yarn at three different yarn shops in Bismarck. Loretta found green with gold running threw it in WISHEK. Goes to show you should shop at home. I had found some white yarn with silver running threw it, so trees were born. After about three trees, Loretta says she needs a break, so if you want to put an order in for you own lit up, crocheted tree. Well stand in line!
I know you are saying –it’s not Christmas. Well when you’re in the mood, you’re in the mood. Loretta and I were in the mood and we think the trees turned out and lit up wonderfully.
