If'n you're late I'll leave you

OK, it's been proven, I won't leave you. I took 12 people to Bismarck on the bus Monday -and returned with 11.

One fellow gave me a real scare. He took off & caught a ride home with someone else.

I dropped him off at Walmart at 2pm & told him I would return between 4:15 and 5pm. When I came at 4:25 I couldn't find him. The Walmart security couldn't find him. The Bismarck Police couldn't find him.
I was remembering him flashing $100 bills earlier --I was sure he got bumped on the head & robbed & was laying dead somewhere.
The Bismarck police (officer Fetzer)finally reviewed the surveillance tapes and low & behold there he was on tape -leaving by a back door & getting into a rusty old jeep thing. And gone he was.
After 2 1/2 hours of jumping up and down, I drove away with only 11 people onboard.
I was glad he was alive, but I would have like to have killed him for what he put me threw!

12 mph for 12 miles

Here is a list of things you see at 12 miles per hour for 12 miles.

1. Beautiful snow drift sculptures
2. Sparrows racing the vehicles
3. A zillion pheasants hens hiding in the rows of lilac bushes
4. Pheasant roosters gliding over leftover corn stalks
5. Exploded cat tails bending to and fro in the wind
6. Scotty Schillings barn with a drift just about over the top of the building
7. Abandoned hay bales that now look like frosted shredded wheat cereal
8. A blinding bright winter sun and me without my sunglasses
9. And finally how much I like Mickey Gilley and hate Roy Acuff

these rabbits

What in the world is going on with the rabbits this year? Have you seen them? Is it just me? Well I have seen only a few rabbits this year but they are all grey! Maybe the fox and coyotes can see them too and have been eliminating them. I have seen rabbits for years and in the winter they are snow white -this is a way for mother nature to keep them from being chased by predators if I remember right. Why are they grey (summer time grey) this year. Maybe I should call that guy who ran for President and lost to Bush, you know the guy that says the north pole is melting. Maybe he can tell me why the rabbits here in McIntosh county are still grey and we have tons of snow & it's been like -20 degrees.
