Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
Happy Holidays everyone! I wish all my blog visiters the best for the New Year.
I sent out Christmas cards this year, nice ones, with a picture of the old man and me! And I got nice stamps from the post office. And I had nice return address labels from some charitable company --and I forgot to attach the address labels to my envelope. I swear, that forgetfulness is getting worse everyyear. So, I am hoping that everyone who gets a card from me recognizes us, so they know who it's from.
This year was an uneventful year for us. We both still plug away at our some old jobs. The old man still drives trains and feed cattle. I still drive the senior bus and other junky jobs. We're not complaining mind you -well it's just that time of year to update people and we have no updating to do!! Guess that's a good thing.
We plan to have a bit of a family Christmas -but not everyone can make it, sad sorta, but in these busy times I can understand it to.
I have my shopping done, but I haven't made any lefse yet. I am thinking that my senior friend, Clara will help me. And I haven't made any krumkaka either. I am thinking that either Kristy or Hayley will let me have a nibble of their makings. But, this year for sure I am going to make some divinity. I love that stuff, the white is my favorite but others seems to like the pink and green kind. I never do make the cut out cookies, they seem like so much work for the pleasure you get out of it. I'd rather do the Norweign type treats so I can think of Christmas' past.
I'm going to stop now and go listen to some Holiday music and try get into the spirit of things. I heard that boy band that I like really well has a new Xmas cd out -maybe I can find that on the web somewhere and give it a listen. Happy! Happy!
