A TIP FOR YOU

Here's a tip for you. Call 1-888-5 opt out I did it and it works. What it's for is if you get credit card applications in the mail that you didn't ask for, call up this number. They'll ask for a bit of info and they can take you off the list for either 5 years or for ever! They are saying that the big 3 credit reporting agencys give your name out to credit card companies. I don't like this practise and I have chose to have my name removed from this practise. -I sure hope it works! TRY IT -YOU'LL LIKE IT~~~~

A NEW YEAR BLESSING

May your troubles be less,
your blessings be more,
and nothing but happiness comes through your door.

Yipee Skipee and Happy Holiday

Great news. I had a doctor appointment in Fargo and the broken bone in my foot is finally healing. So...that means I don't have to have a pin put in that bone. Yippe Skipe!!! And the crushed bones are healing fine. Thanks to Irene K. a traveling partner for her tip to take calcium pills. AND anyone who knows me knows I don't take any medication, for anything. So for me this was a big step. It didn't kill me and looks like it helped.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my family and friends, and fellow bolgers. I had a good year. Going back to work part time for Qwest, tenting by the Jamestown River. camping out at my son's place in Fargo, ice fishing with my fishing buddies, and family gatherings. I have been so lucky. Even the car accident brought me good fortune. I reconfirmed my faith in God, family, and friends. A special thanks to my angels up in heaven for sparing my life and the lives of other family members that day in November when our lives flashed before us.
I am hoping that all your New Years wishes come true!!!!

Dream by the Everly Brothers

I am a firm believer in dreams. Always have been. So I wonder what the dream I had last night means.
Started out I was running my usual jog, from Wishek to Ashley to Lehr (to check cattle) and then home. But I was interupted when a little maroon chevette stopped just north of Ashley stopped and picked me up. I got in and guess who was there? Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, and a faceless nameless gitar player. I couldn't sit in the back seat so I knealt on the floor. I couldn't sit on the seat cuz the words to the song we were going to sing were stapled to the seat. Then off we went.....singing. It sounded great, I thought I would sing harmony (like I did as a kid by my mom playing piano and my sister singing the melody). But, nobody was singing harmony everyone was singing the melody...even Trisha. It sounded great and they asked to stay and tour with them. About that time I woke up, I thought about asking my husband for permission to go on tour with my new freinds Garth, Trisha, and the gitar player but thought better of it when I looked down at my cast and my hero dog Greta.
What does it all mean. Am I a star cooped up in this little house in this little town in North Dakota? Should I try out for American Idol? Should I start jogging (after I get my cast off)? Should I buy a chevy chevette? -sorry Grandpa Paul. Help me figure out this dream!!!!!

Accident Health Update

Well we all have had doctor visits again.
1st -Gpa Ron. He had a visit with the Plastic surgeon in Bismarck. Ron had stitches from inside his lip around and over to the outside. He got infection and the stitches let go. After some advise from granddaughter Nurse Shelly, and our local doctor, Ron went for a visit with a Plastic surgeon and he and the surgeon got along great. That really means that Gpa Ron is not going to have any lip augmentation or reconstruction. He will end up with a dip in his lip, but nothing he can't live with.
2nd -Darcy. She has been visiting Dr. Eric -the local Chiropractor 3 times a week. And she is getting around allot better. Just some stiffness in her ankle yet. And her broken nose looks much better.
3rd -Curty. He had a check up with his doctor on Thursday. He had a terrible experience with the X-ray tech. But his x-rays showed he is healing. So they took out the staples and sent him home. I am not looking forward to going to Fargo after the way they treated him. They made him walk with his walker all over the place carrying his stuff. And they gave him no sympathy -with a rod and pins in his leg and soreness I think this is just unforgivable.
4th -Me Gma Deb. I had a check up in Jamestown with the same doctor Curty had. The people were just great I had a wheel chair ride everywhere and the X-ray lady was so nice. Well any way. I guess I did have broken bones in my foot. I must have been to drugged up when and if they told me. Well any way everything looks good except the bone from the base of my little toe to my heel. That hasn't started healing yet so they want to see me again next week in Fargo (oh oh -the mean clinic). And if it hasn't started healing I may need to have a pin put in that bone.
OFTA, I guess the healing thing is more difficult than I was thinking. Good Luck to all and I'll keep you all updated as we progress.

Brandner accident over the Holiday

Here's a picture of the van I was driving on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The passengers were my husband, his son and his wife and 2 of our grandchildren.
I was a very scary moment when I drove threw a snow cloud and saw the back end of a snow plow. I knew we were going to hit. All I could think of was my Uncle Howard and him running into a snow plow back in the 1960's and not living to tell about it. And how much that single event changed the lives of so many.
I am very blessed to have lived threw this crash. But I am forever grateful to the Lord up above for sparing my family as well. We are all still hurting. BUT we are alive. Many thanks to all our family and friends for putting us up, for transporting us all home. For the many calls, cards, and prayers. Thanks for the cooking, cleaning and visits, I for one will never forget all the help I have received, thanks to each and everyone of you. May God bless you as much as he has blessed me. PS, sorry Curtis that you had to give up your 10 inches of "locks of love" hair, when you were so close to your goal of 12 inches----all because of the bed inflicted snarels.
