Greta Garbo hero dog

Yup this is my Greta Garbo, who has a new title. Hero dog! It all started about a week or so ago. I got up in the middle of the night, went down stairs, sat on the toilet, and there she was. A MOUSE. I screamed, my husband came running, and Greta ran for her life. It was a mouse running across the floor. Now I have lived in this house for more than 25 years and only once has a mouse in the house. And that time I nearly moved out. My husband captured the varment the next day and I deceided to stay living here. But this time, no traps could capture the little icky thing. Then one morning when I woke up I noticed Greta had sticky stuff on her paws, along with a bunch of lint. I figured she stepped on the sticky trap and escaped with just goo. BUT, now after days of checking the trap, with nothing to show for it. We have figured that Greta must have........caught the pesky thing. And eaten it!!! Yuk...but I don't care. She is my hero. And I will never forget to give her a bite table scraps again.

My Adventure's Off

Well I have deceided to forget about heading south. The lastest contact asked me to bring my truck, tools and ladders. Well I was ok with the truck and tools but I don't have a way to bring ladders.And I'm not going to put a ladder rack on my pickup. So the contact with Florida fell threw. And the Bell South contact has not called me in over a week. So I'm going to just give up on heading south the help out the Hurrican relief.
So bad I finished my Christmas shopping. Now I'll have to start my Christmas baking... look out family. I'm going to start with lefse, sundbakkles, and kumkaka. M-M-M this will be way better than traveling!!!

The Waiting Game

I not playing Twister, or Clue, or Ono, I'm playing the Waiting Game. So I still don't know where or when I am heading south.
So this last week I worked at the Gas station, the Church and the Western Shop, so I'm back to juggling my schedule of odd jobs. None of these jobs keeps you very busy. Too bad our small towns have poor business' well the business are good, but the number of shoppers is way down. I think too many people shop out of town. But so much of what we "need" we have to get from out of town. And well as long as your out of town getting your "stuff" then you buy what you could get in town too!
Take underwear as an example. You could buy granny panties in town OR sexy, fun, colorful panties out of town. And then when you go to someone's house to visit and your forget and leave you pjs and panties their. Which panties would you rather leave or have left?
I think I'll play Shoots and Ladders, this Waiting Game isn't as fun as I thought it would be.

Maybe Florida, maybe Louisianna

Today was an interesting day. I had 2 contacts with employees from down south. So maybe I'll go to Florida and work for a contractor. Or maybe I'll go to Louisianna and work for Bell South. We'll see who comes up with the best deal. Money Talks! Right? A few are starting in Florida on Monday, but I don't have my paper work in yet. Hurry up and wait....my life.
But I am hoping that soon I'll be off and traveling....stay tuned!
